REI in 2021 will be the 21st international conference dedicated to research relating to radiation effects in insulators and non-metallic materials. In 2021, discover REI in Fukuoka. Fukuoka is one of Japan's largest cities, and it is the administrative, economic, and cultural center of the southernmost island of Kyushu. It is one of the country's most progressive cities.
Since the first REI conference in Arco, Italy, in 1981, REI has been the international forum held every two years to present and discuss the latest achievements in the field of insulating materials modification through different kinds of radiation source (ions, electrons, neutrons...). The REI conference is one of the most prominent and long running conference series in the field of radiation effects in materials.
REI-21 will be organized by Kyushu University, Japan Atomic Energy Agency and other institutes and universities in Japan. We greatly acknowledge the support of our sponsors. Unfortunately, there are travel and social interactions restriction in many countries due to the outbreak of COVID-19. We are preparing for the REI-21 conference hoping we can reunite at Fukuoka. We look forward to meeting you in the summer of 2021 in Fukuoka, Japan!
K. Yasuda (Kyushu University) and N. Ishikawa (Japan Atomic Energy Agency).
